GUIDELINES FOR INSTALLING THE SPEED GOVERNOR ONBOARD THE MACHINE
To install the governor, we recommend following the guidelines established by the engine manufacturer, as well as the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the speed governor, making sure that:
- The engine drive / governor system does not present excessive consumption and the mechanisms are normal.
- The engine is in axis and there aren’t any dents, depressions or material residues on the support surface of the governor.
- The connections and pins of the joints of the fuel pump train control system do not have excessive clearance.
- Keep in mind that the speed governor is not, and does not have, the function of an overspeed governor, so make sure that the overspeed trip installed in the engine is properly calibrated and working.
